Direct Selects

Setting channels to an intensity and later bringing them down again is something a sub can do. If you set the Sub Dwell to Hold your sub's bump button will act as toggle.

For this to work you don't need the sub mapped to a fader. You could e.g. trigger the sub from a magic sheet.

If I am practicing correctly, this method will always be a 0 second up/down?

Up and Down Time can be specified in the sub's config as well. All the timing options apply to the bump button, not the fader.

OK so looks like the instructions are:

1. Forget direct selects since there's no apparent direct select for bump (other than a macro)

2. Go to a Magic Sheet instead

3. Record the desired lights into a submaster

4. Go to the submasters page (Sub Sub)

5. Under the Timing of the submaster, change the Up to whatever, the Dwell to Hold, and the Down to whatever

6. Then add a fader to the magic sheet, assign to correct submaster, and use the bump button on it as the requested on/off button.

Last step doesn't need to be a fader as that means you'd need to assign the sub to a fader. A object of type Submaster is enough.
