Aug3D Help

We have several Movers in Aug3D. These are inexpensive Chinese units I have had to write Profiles for.

I just can't seem to synch the Movers beams on stage with their paths in Aug3D. I've rotated their "Z" axis, changed the Pan and Tilt limits and Homes in the Profiles and done other stuff but still can't get that synch.

Is there somewhere, information that would sort of take me from opening a new Movers box to hoisting it into Aug3 and get the moves to Synch?

  • I have done something like this. I build the A3d rig and then got everything woking in the software. When I got to the theatre pan and or tilt went the opposite way to what was being seen in A3d. I modified the profile to make it work the in both spaces.

  • Thank you. I didn't mention that the XY plot in ML controls is also way off of what the beams are doing in real time. I have tried several scenarios, rotating movers in A3d, messing around with the numbers in their Profiles and so on. There are just so many places to adjust, to coincide the actual bean with the ZY plot and A3d that's why I posted.

I have been surprised by the lack of response which leads me to think this is a very complicated subject.  My request wasn't so much for specific instructions as a place to where such information might exist in the training and literature - if indeed there is such.
