Submaster color

Hey all,

Trying to set up a submaster to manage some backstage blues. I'd like it to be variable in intensity but assert the full color value whenever active at any level. Is this possible?

Currently it's set to an intensity master with blue at 100% and all other colors at 0%. It works until I go to cue out at which point the fixtures return to white.

  • Ah, important piece of context there. I'm the house technician for a theater and I'm just tweaking my rep file to be more friendly to LDs of various skill levels. It's very convenient to have my crossover blues on a submaster but then often enough they'll go to cue out during tech or preshow and then wind up with white run lights unless they take the submaster back to zero and reset. Could do what Geoff said and bake park color into my usual macro sets or rethink whether it should be a submaster and not a preset or something else.

  • there is an other option, if it is helpful for your situation... i don't know.
You can set the Priority of the sub higher. That will prevent the color to be pureged. But if it helps for the rest of the show... who knows.
