Magic trick with Media Archive for Pixel Mapping?

We got server, backup and client in the system. We work on client and try to figure out how to use media archive and pixel map togheter.

We understand that we need to put all media files on our server. We can see our pixel map on the server and if we upload a media file, we see it happen, both on stage and in the console. I'm going to think about whether we could use a common media archive on our fileserver where all files are read from instead of local file. Bad or great idea?

When we then work on our client, we see our pixelmap, but we don't see the media file rolling on the client but on the stage. We also can't see the preview of the file in the media archive on the client. Since we know it's BANK 004 and files 1 and 2, I can still select them and they appear on the stage but not on the client. Also tried to have same user.

What is the magic trick to works with Pixel Map and Media Archive in a server/backup-system with clients? How should we think?
