Hi There! Thanks for the feedback. Apex was our first device to include dedicated charging ports that work during normal and standby operation. Apex was also the first device that we added dedicated USB-C Data ports at all locations with USB-A data ports. We wanted to highlight that the USB-A charging ports stood out, to do so we opted to have an independent port. We also changed the port color to further emphasize this.
