ETC EOS launch pad led feedback

Hi Vincent.

EOS can receive and send midi natively. However, the integration for sending midi is pretty basic right now. You will have to write a macro with a Send MIDI String command which then should be registered by the launchpad.

Getting this to work is gonna be a painful journey without using any external tools, since you're gonna have to write hundreds of macros to change colors on all the keys via MIDI RAW commands. 

I really like Chataigne for remapping MIDI/OSC and controlling MIDI devices. Its gonna require some trial and error to get it to work with LED feedback.

I have a launchpad and Akai APC myself, and some free time in the new year to do some tests myself. If I find a nice workflow i will post it here.

Awesome I will do that! I will say I found out pretty quick it would be painful when I mapped all 9 faders. I took me almost 5 hours but was way simpler than using software. My main goal is to have it display a color so when I'm busking I can have a reference instead of blank.

Just now starting to tinker with it do you know how to find the raw midi note I need or is that a lot of trial and error?

Since you said 9 Faders i'm assuming youre using something like the Akai APC Mini 2. There is documentation online for what midi values are linked to which colors.

If you learn how MIDI raw works and what hexadecimal is (this takes less than half an hour), you should be able to get some colors going with MIDI commands.

Yeah I’m on an APC mini 2. I used raw midi for the faders so I know a bit about midi raw.That helps a lot I’ll try it out thank you!

okay this took me way to long to do lol (part of mapping midi for the first time) however I have managed to get it to work thank you for the specific sheet I needed that helps me a ton!
