Media server effects with cue stacks in background

I am trying to add some pixel map/virtual media server stuff to my busking workflow for more dynamic effects.

I have 2 cue stacks that holds color infomation for my even and odd fixtures, with go from last set to wrap, and back from 1st to cue out.

I want to be able to step thru these cues while the media server is running to effectively setup my next look before  doing an intensity sneak out of the server.

The issue is when my cuestack loops back to Cue 1 - Red, the media server layers fully drop all info. Changing my cue properties to be back from 1st = Wrap removed this problem

Why did it do that?

  • Interesting. Thanks for answering,  I guess ive gotten lucky to not see this behavior yet.

Putting a color parm filter on the cuestack did the trick! Thank you

And I suspect my change in behavior from cuestack settings is just from not properly clearing the command line like a fool

Now that I've spent a couple hours testing this new learned fact, I've found more strange behavior. Removing the color filter from the cuestacks as it was before. When I cycle the cuestack and manual values assert and go the Gray home values, the color infomation in the media servers channels change their home value to the color palette they were previously in.

Even further testing shows me this behavior is actually true for all manual NIPS of other fixtures, is this intended behavior of Assert like this? Im not seeing that in the Assert section of the manual.

Apologies if this is a rather basic question, Assert is not a feature I find myself intentionally using often
