I have a DMX-Shutter for an projector in my setup. To control it, i made a custom fixture.
Only one Intensity-Channel to control the motor with two ranges (see table below) and designated DMX-Values to cover the lens of the projector perfectly, no snapping. Intensity to control it fast without using encoders.
| DMX-Min | DMX-Max | User-Min | User-Max | Label |
| 140 | 140 | 0 | 0 | Open |
| 255 | 255 | 1 | 1 | Closed |
Advantage for me on the one hand is that a operator cannot use the positions in-between. On the other hand you see the label in Live Table.
Now i have the problem, that the shutter closes in 0 sec although i have 3 sec Cue- and Discrete-Timing for this fixture.
(It is an old one that makes noises when moving it quickly, so i want it to move in 3 sec quietly....)
What am i'm missing? Isn't it:
Snapping not activated, so Eos fades from Position 1 to Position 2 with Cue Time
Snapping activated, so Eos jumps from from 1 to 2 halfway of the Cue Time
