Hi All, Can I use a macro to restart my Element 2, running EOS 3.3.0.549?
I do have 2 PC's running in Backup mode, but it's not a multiconsole set up.
There are a few 'hints' around online, but they are not specific enough for me ot follow.
Thanks.

there is no way i can think of to restart the Desk just with controlls.
You have to press some powerbottons.
OR
You power down you desk and use the network wake up function.
But i haven't checked it, so feel free to test it.

the thing i am a bit worried about is your 2nd sentence
I do have 2 PC's running in Backup mode, but it's not a multiconsole set up.
In an EOS System there can only be 1 backup.
But on the other hand you say you don't have a multiconsole system.
So what exactly is this information?
I am confused.
Even if ETC says that there can only be one pc in backup mode, I am running 2 with no known problems. I have two ETCnomad, and I switch them around between 3 pc's on my lighting network, depending on the show that I'm doing. This requires that I restart my Element 2, which is why I'm asking about a macro to restart the Element 2 from elsewhere on the network.
I assumed that multiconsole meant more than a singe ETC hardware/board on the network.
So is a pc running with Nomad considered part of the multiconsole definition?
Thanks
ETC doesn't say you can only ever run one Eos device in backup mode, but you can only connect one of them at a time to a primary.
You can have a console macro shutdown the console (which can be dangerous if triggered during a bad moment like during a show...), but this macro terminates as soon as the Eos software is shutdown. That's why you can't have a macro trigger the restart.
Every piece of hardware running the Eos software, if that hardware is joined to an Eos primary's session, is considered to be part of a multiconsole system.
