Populate groups based on query

Is your question where to find they [Query] hardkey? On an Ion classic it's a softkey.

When I click into the box where I'd input the channels, I do not see Query as a softkey.  I see the usual insert before, insert after, etc, but no Query.

Ah, you're in Blind in the Group List. Query isn't available there, that's not an Ion thing, that's in general. Query throws an error in that context.

You could run your query in Live, then go to the group list and use Select_Last.

Or you could record your groups from Live: {Query} {Keywords} {Front} [Record] [Group] 1 [Enter]

Thanks for letting me know.  Seems like an easy place to add query, especially for static database text items.  I spent a lot of time getting the database correct, so I'd love to use it anywhere I have channels

I suggest adding a feature request. But even if approved, this change will not make it to the 2.9 branch of the Eos software.
