Convert .shw file to EOS/ION on a MAC

So, I know the MAC part is the trick. I recently deleted my windows partition and now I need it, but I'm totally out of luck.

I'm in need of converting an express .shw file into an EOS file. Is it possible to accomplish this on a mac?

If not, will someone export the file to ascii for me?

PLEASE NOTE!!!: The file I uploaded is not an .asc file. I simply changed the extension from .shw because it wouldn't allow a .shw file upload.

  • To convert from Expression to ASCII, you need the Expression Offline Editor, which is PC only I'm afraid.. but, attached is your file converted to ASCII since I'm on a PC!

I believe you should be able to load this into the Mac Eos offline now.

  • Thanks so much for the conversion, and so quickly too!

At the risk of starting a MAC/PC war. I wonder if there is any merit in a mac app that will simply do conversions. I know that since the express/expression line is being discontinued, the idea of an offline editor for the MAC is an exercise in diminishing returns.

The fact of the matter is though, that these consoles aren't going away any time soon. This is not the first and certainly won't be the last time I need to do the same such conversion. I know the simple answer is to have a PC on hand for such things. The idea of having a netbook for just this purpose is not entirely unreasonable.

Having said that, I don't know what it would entail to create a MAC application that could convert .show<>.esf and **crazy talk**: obII files

Anyone have any insight? Notice I didn't say incite.

  • I currently use parallels or crossover to run pc apps on my mac and have had good luck with the etc offline editors running on both.
