Bug: Not able to append to parameters to cmd via parameter-category buttons.

This is called collapsed summary view. When using the Live Summary format you can enable/disable it by holding [Data] and touching one of the parameter category buttons, in your case {Intensity}. So your console thought you were holding Data pressed.

I thought it might be something like this, and I also did press the data/format/etc. buttons (with and without shift held down) suspecting the desk might be stuck in some kind of format-mode. Didn't help though. 

And I definitely did not press [Data] up until the bug occured.

Your logfiles show that you're currently on a very early beta version. We recommend updating to the release version of 3.3.6 as soon as you can.

I am in fact running the latest release version (3.3.6b60) as the logs show. I just put the wrong version in my ticket.
