Can I safely use Updaterator for firmware?

Can I safely use Updaterator for firmware updates to my Gadget/IonXe/Program wing etc. in the light of the pulled Eos update?

Updaterator updates fixtures and gateways, but not console components. For those you have to rely on the console's update mechanism. 
 3.3.8 doesn't have that piece of firmware anymore that in certain circumstances could lose the output license. 3.3.8 was released yesterday and is available at etcconnect.com/eos.
