update effect in live mode

Question

I want to know if it is possible to update an effect in live mode. Example: I created an step based effect, I am running it in live mode and edit the speed rate (also in live mode). I tried to update the effect (update effect 1) bur nothing changed to the speed of the effect. Is there another way to do the or do I have to go back to the effect editor?

If you change the RATE in live that is changing the rate value that will be stored in the cue/sub that you are working on. If you wish to change the rate of the base effect I believe you have to do that in the effect editor in blind.
