DVI Splitter

Hi there,

I have a ION with a DVI Splitter that seems to have passed away.
Question is: is this a regular splitter that i can buy in every computershop? or is there something special with it.

Thanks for your time

  • Just one piece of advice: Check your dead splitter for bent pins, and your console for damage.

Bent pins happen easily when attempting to install the splitter rotated 180, then after fixing the orientation, that bent pin will damage the female connector on the console. Then it appears that the splitter is dead, you buy a new one, and the damaged female connector bends a pin on the new splitter... etc. It's a vicious cycle. The damaged female can sometime be fixed w/o a trip to the repair shop.

It's one of many reasons we moved to the Dual-DVI design as soon as we could.

    Good Luck!
