Stop/Back

Ran into this during a show on the weekend. Went out of sequence in the cuelist (eg: Q24 to Q111) when we pressed BACK afer the cue was completed the board went back to Q110 instead of Q24. Reading the manual our take on this is that the first time you press the BACK button it will go back to your previous cue then go back sequentially through the cue list. I have tried this on different show files with LOAD Q, GOTO Q followed by the BACK button with the same results.

Did this feature change?

Cheers,

  • Hi Andrew,

It's my understanding of the Eos/Ion's functionality that using Go To Cue or Load Cue will move you from one point in a cue list to another.  Due to the nature of the console (being a move-fade), it has to completely recalculate all the levels for all of the channels affected by the list.

So -- the short answer -- to the best of my knowledge, Stop/Back only works in a linear way (it will take you back in numerical sequence).  Any other out-of-sequence steps would need to be executed in a Go To Cue syntax, or in a Linked cue.
