Hi,
I heard that these were shown at LDI for Ion and Eos, is there any info on the web about these at all, any idea how much a new set would cost for the Ion?
Thanks
Eric

What's new about the key caps? I wasn't at LDI.. Was' up?
Do they now come in designer (Rosco, Lee) colours? COOL!
Andrew
I would be interested in seeing these new key caps too.
What's the cost like for this?
Are all new Ion consoles now shipping with these?
Those are sexy.
I've never had a nose for keycap ergonomics so the occasional complaints I've heard have mostly bewildered me. That said, I know that there must be quite a few respected opinions behind this so I'm looking forward to being enlightened.
Bring on the free keys!

I'm using an EOS with the new keycaps at the moment, the Enter key seems to stick on one side resulting in the key press sometimes not reregistering, cant the keycap just be popped off then on again or does the whole key pad board need to come out?

Pop it off and check.
Chances are that it didn't quite go on straight first time - the double-wide keys are a little bit harder to get in than the normal ones.
Bryan,
Give your local ETC dealer or ETC Customer Services a call, they will be able to get some keycaps sent out for you.
Graham.
We just got a new Element, and the keys look like the ones in the photos... Is that the giveaway that we don't need the keycaps kit, or can we check something else? Like swap/tab? (I'm new enough to Element that I don't know if the console even has those keys.)
If it has the curved keycaps, you are good to go. Up until now, the keycaps were flat with beveled edges.
Element doesn't use the notion of Tabs when organizing data -- it should currently have a "Swap" key.
Sweet, thanks.
I think the best part of the new keys caps, is that the old ones fit right on to my x-keys (except for the double wide keys, but some blanks and a label maker fixed that).
Where can we order the new keycaps...directly from ETC or somewhere else?
Thanks in advance!
Jared
from your local ETC Dealer - usually, whomever installed the console.
Jared, you can also contact tech service. They can place an order for you!
:-)

We sure can :-)
To streamline your order from us or a dealer, be sure you have the serial number of each console you would like to order new keycaps for and your preferred shipping address ready. We're tracking replacement key caps via serial number.
Thank you!
Hello, lwe are having trouble ordering new key caps for our ION. Our dealer told us to do so via ETC´s site when downloading new software version. However, it´s been two moths and we got neither key caps nor any reply.
Would you mind giving me contact to a tech service for Slovakia?
Thanks a lot.
Hi Essentials,
Sorry to hear about your problems. Could you please send an email to ccascio (--AT--) etcconnect (--DoT-) com,
and we will see about getting the keycaps out.
We need to know the Serial Number of your Ion Console. It can be found on the back of your Ion,
on a white sticker, starting with SN: 433 xxx xxx). We also need to know if you have the curvy or flat keycaps
currently on your console.
THANKS!
