X-keys update???

So it's been a while since anyone has posted regarding X-keys and using them with an RIV and Ion . .

before I shell out the money for this item .. have there been any updates?

where can I go to get the current working template for X-keys . .plus information on how to install everything to work with my RIV (and laptop). . .

are there still issues with firmware and resident memory mode . . will I have to pay extra to get the older firmware . . . or is all of this old news . . .

I've not heard anything new about X-keys, but the Cherry line might also be worth investigating - I've heard good reports:

I have an X-Keys MWII and it works flawlessly with the EOS family with 1.9 installed. I use it with Element, so I built my own custom key template and data file to load into it. It's very easy to make your own or modify the one that ETC provides. You just need to do it on a Windows PC with the software that X-keys provides. Just takes some time.
