3rd Party Thumbdrives and Computer Virii

On another message board we're having a debate about whether or not we should be virus scanning 3rd party thumbdrives before plugging them into an EOS series desk. Since the consoles run WinXP embedded, is it possible for them to get a computer virus?

Well, the consoles don't auto-run, and only offer options for opening/organising show files and installing software updates.
- If you log out of the console and log in again as admin/maintenance then you have more freedom, but you're not going to do that by accident.

So I would say that it's highly unlikely that a virus could get onto the consoles.
