I have been using the console for many months now and have some questions about the console and its operation and was wondering if anyone else had noticed similar problems, or am I just using the console funny. If these have already been addressed in the forum, release notes, or any where else, I apologise, but I have not noticed any mention of these before.
1. Patching with parts. I have had the need to readdress or change types on multi-part channels. Mostly Seachangers. After much trial and error, I decided that the Seachanger should be on the whole number (part 1) and the dimmer on part 2. If I moved the addresses on the Seachangers it was easier to repatch the range that way and type part 2 for each dimmer change on each channel. Typing "Channel 201 part 2 thru" results in an error message when I attempt to range patch on the part 2 or part 3 or what ever. Is there a better way of doing this? Are there any plans to make this possible?
2. Moving parts of the patch around. It there an easy way to move all the data (parts, addresses, database, labels, etc) patched in 201 thru 205 to 101 thru 105, for example.
3. Selective show file read. It is great to be able to read only the patch or palettes from another show, but could I read in only palettes 1 thru 100 and put them in 501 thru 600? Or read in only select cues?
4. Can the labels for the channels from the patch screen be visible on the channel quick select page?
5. The screen layouts cause me fits when trying to expand the live screen from monitor 2 to monitor 3. I have my monitors laid out with number 1 on my left, then the console, then monitor 2 then 3, (I hope that makes sense). Playback is on 1, Live on 2, and an addtional live, with specific flexichannel for selected only, is open on three. When I am done with programming, for the show playback, I would like to expand the live from 2 to 3, but it always jumps to 1 then around to 3, and the sequence is out of order. Even when reordering the monitors I can not seem to get it ti work the way I thingk it ought to, which, admittedly, may be my problem. Has any one else noticed this kind of behavior?
6. Snapshots do not record the zoom level on the live screen, so I am always having to tweak it back.
7. The sneak command when used with submasters appears to be not working properly. If I bring up a sub, modify any of the sub's channels manually, then use sneak to restore it, then levels drop to zero in the default sneak time, then pop to the sub level. If I type group sub X enter, (to put them on the wheel), the channels in sub X appear to jump the level in cue 1. Selecting and sneaking one channel from a sub has a different effect then two or more channels from a sub. "Group Sub X level" and "group sub X out" and "sub X level" generate error messages, but "sub X out" appears to work. There are alot of other variations, all very repeatable, of the "group", "sub", and "sneak" command, depending on bakground levels, what is in the cue, manual control, etc. Has any one else had problems with this, or am I just using the board funny?
8. Love the board. Think it is great. I really appreciate how the controls for the LEDs work now and for the time you spent fixing that problem and others we have had.
