Change Fader Page

Hello,

Was looking for a way to change fader page on Eos the other day. I have a couple of inhibits on page 2 which it would be good for the board op to have easy access to at a certain point in the show. Is it possible to execute a fader page with a cue?

I tried using a snapshot, this didn't appear to work. I also tried writing a macro which would change page; I wasn't quite able to work out how to write a macro where you have to hold a button down (ie. Fader Page + 2.) I couldn't see a fader page option as a softkey in the macro editor either.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Andrew

  • Hmm, I'm curious that this isn't working for you all. Granted I'm not in front of a console right now, but its working fine offline and I remember it working fine on the show.  I do recall problems in regards to what Warren is talking about with the Macro running as user 0 in the background  and being over ridden by itself, but the initial page change worked.

The forum isn't allowing me to attach a file at the moment, but you can find a sample file here (dropbox). Let me know if that works (or doesn't).

  • Well done benjamin once again,

The fact is  that is working for playbacks but not for virtual sliders but what the heck, its beautiful.

My question is how did you managed to record it live since that the fader controls button is not responding in ion console 1.9 in learning mode. Beside that when i try to edit a macro in blind mode and with scrlk on when typing there gaps between the letters, very different from your nitty command.cause im new in the forum can you imagine what am doing wrong.I am not in front of the console either to try typing from the console's keyb to see if there is gaps also.

    Thank you for your contribution

  • hello to you all again,

with a little striving and with the inspiration from benjamin i managed to record a macro regarding page change. As benjamin earlier stated, FaderPagePress (n) FaderPageRelease is the most apropriate.

You can do it by Pressing Learn - Macro (n) - enter. In Learning Mode keep the ] from your keyb (right bracket) pressed and the page number you want to assign and release it.Hit Learn to complete the command.Thats it.

    Cheers
