RFR 2.07 Software

So just how important is the 2.07 version of the software both my base station and remote are on 2.02? Been trying to update my remote but neither my eos console or win 7 laptop is reading the drivers correctly.

v2.0.7 helps save the life of the rechargeable batteries, deals with connection problems, and has better display information.

When you plug the handheld remote into your console via a mini-usb cable, while holding

down the upper left hand button, does the handheld remote display then display BOOT version?

What happens when you try updating then via the Eos SHELL menu RFR Update?
