So just how important is the 2.07 version of the software both my base station and remote are on 2.02? Been trying to update my remote but neither my eos console or win 7 laptop is reading the drivers correctly.

v2.0.7 helps save the life of the rechargeable batteries, deals with connection problems, and has better display information.
When you plug the handheld remote into your console via a mini-usb cable, while holding
down the upper left hand button, does the handheld remote display then display BOOT version?
What happens when you try updating then via the Eos SHELL menu RFR Update?
Are you in North America right now?
Yes I'm in the US
In the Console shell and on the PC I get a Driver issue. The PC can't install them. The Console gives me the use a PC or contact ETC to get the latest image file and re-image your console

Then please call your local dealer for assistance, or contact ETC Tech Services at Toll Free - 1.800.688.4116.
Ask for the Tech Services Phone Support, and explain that you need to update your Handheld RFR to
the current Firmware v2.0.7, and that your Eos or PC can't communicate with them because of a driver Issue.
The folks there will be able to help you right away!

just getting confused (my apologies):
my files show a RFR V2.02 update in June 2009. The update files I have are rfr_base_200.dfu and rfr_remote_202.dfu, from the beginning of 2009.
Your links show files from early 2010. Did I miss another upgrade to 2.07? Yikes. This seems only for the remote, and not the basestation?
I guess I've got programming to do this week.
Thanks
Andrew

No Releases were between these.
Later this year, will come a new release for both the handheld and base
to help some communication bugs.
