bug in effects?

Effects only default to Part 1 of cues. Cant seem to move effects to different parts unless you then copy the part cue to another part.  Am I missing something?  If I make a cue 20 with conventional intensities, then try to add an effect to a part 2 it will only go to part 1.

You can type 291-293 at effect 1 part (but the part key inserts the word Step rather than Part.  Strange.

  • I am on the latest release.  That is very unfortunate.  The hassle is if you have an existing cue with intensities moving and then you need to add an effect in a time 0 you have to copy the exisitng cue to a different part and then add the effect in part one.

Also is there a menu setup which dictates what the default part is?

Can you choose the 5 channels in the effect in part 1 and have them fire at a time of 0 and the rest of the cue at a different count?  Can you tell I am trying to write lightning sequences?

  • Effects, by default, have their entry and exit times follow the cue/sub time, however you can change the entry and/or exit time to a specified value in the effect in Blind. Make the Entry Time 0, and Bob's your uncle.

There is no setup option to define the default part, it is always part 1.
