1.9.6 Mac OLE

I just updated my OLE to 1.9.6 and have some oddities to report.

The file from the web downloads as: EosFamily_Offline_v196_Mac.zip

It unzips as a folder called: EosFamily_Offline_v195_Mac

Which contains: Eos Family Mac 1.9.6.9.0.3.mpkg.zip

Unzipping that gives me the 1.9.6 installer

The Eos Welcome Screen still reports 1.9.5 in settings, though if I enter the console, About reports as 1.9.6 (as expected)

So ultimately installation works -- it's just a little confusing.

  • Thanks Josh.  Sorry about the confusion.  The version number of the shell doesn't necessarily match the version number of the application.  There were changes in 1.9.6 in the app, but not in the shell.  We realize that this can look somewhat odd.
