[Label] Syntax Error in 1.9.6 ?

Hi,

I have noticed that typing [Record] [Cue] [n] [Time] [n2] [Label] [Teeeeext] and then using the [Backspace] button on the touchscreen-keyboard will bring up a Syntax Error instead of just deleting the last letters...

Below are two screenshots.

Not a big problem really..just thought it could be posted..

  • i had the problem too, but i think it didn't happen every time. the external keyboard (which btw has changed the keyset from german (swiss) to qwery during the last update, i think - where do i change this?) always gives me an error when backspacing inside the name, the touchscreen-keyboard doesn't do that every time. i think. haven't really paid attention to it, but i remember it happening...

    would love a solution too...

    cheers from switzerland

  • Hi Jared,

my work-around to avoid re-typing the entire command is to just hit [Enter] and then [Label] again which will record the cue with times given etc but just bring up the Label window again. If you want to get rid completely of what you have written before, you can just hit [Label] again and it will delete the entire name (although this is not new).

@ Felix:So far I have seen the syntax error only when using [Label] in a longer command chain and then backspacing, not when simply labelling something..

    Cheers, Matze

  • yeah, i think that's how it is. when you chain some commands inside the record cue command, use label last and then backspace. what i find annoying is that when i clear the error, the seconds for the time command are gone too and i have to try to remember what the had been...

  • Interesting Matze, that it's only doing that to you on longer command chains...No matter what command line I have even if its just Record Cue 1 Time 0:01 Label, then try to delete, it deletes back to the time command. I understand the workaround, and though I use that, it's just easier when your writing hundreds and hundreds of cues at a time, and you have a normal routine, it's just hard to get out of it...

  • i think with "longer commands" he was referring to everything other than just "Cue x Name namehere"...
