Offline Editor as Client

Howdy all,

I've finally got my OLE set up and talking to the console.  I am going into my first tech week with the system.  I will be using the OLE as a design remote/monitor, and I have a few questions.

Does the OLE support a second monitor?

Can you run the OLE in a less than full screen mode so that I can access other applications on the computer?  The computer is only connected to a dedicated lighting network.

Is there a way for the Designer to view levels in Live, while I, on the Master, can navigate around other Displays?

    I'll respond to the items I know for sure about...

    You can indeed use a second (or third, or fourth) monitor on the OLE.  But on the down side to that, we currently don't allow the application to run in any mode but full screen mode.  

    As far as your last question, Dan or Chris will have to chime in on that to explain the capabilities of the different modes (they are the multi-user/multi-console dudes).

    If you exit Eos, from the welcome screen select [Settings] [Startup] . From here you can change the user ID of the desk (or OLE). If two Eos's have the same user ID, than they view each others screens, command lines and channel selection. If they are different, they see each others changes to the shwo and live levels, but are otherwise independent. So to have the desginer stay inlive but see your levels, change the designers user Id to be different than yours.

    Sweet.

    The User ID makes perfect sense. I shoulda figured it out.

    Later yesterday, I got a second monitor working on my computer with mixed results:  1: The OLE was confined to one screen, allowing me to access other things on the second screen,  Kinda like the window mode I was looking for.  2: I was unable the expand the OLE into the second screen, though, as I became more comfortable navigating the OLE, I felt I needed the second screen less.  However, my designer will want to see channels and a cue list if possible.  How do you get it to expand out?

    If you restart the computer with the extra monitor on, OLE should expand out automatically when you open it, provided you've ticked the box 'Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor' in the display properties, settings tab.
