Deleting an Effect

Version 1.2

In the effect editor, I copy effect 901 to 920 and rename it.  I run it on a channel with a moving light.

I then go into the effect editor and delete the effect.  The effect does not stop running.  Is this intentional?

  • Yep.... because the effect is actually running from the output buffer.  In the same way, if you put cue 4 on stage and then delete cue 4, the contents of cue 4 are still on stage.   The output buffer is separated from the data in all except one instance.  Any changes made to an active submaster in blind will automatically output on stage.  All other blind changes to active record targets must be refreshed for the change to take effect.

In your instances, once you stop effect 920, it is gone forever!

    Hope that helps.
