load old version of a preset from other showfile?

hey there

 

i was wondering what the easiest way would be to get the old version of a palette back. let's say i updated some wrong info into a preset without realising. when i did realise, it was too late to undo. so safe this show and load an old version. safe as another show, delete everything except the preset that's to be recovered, safe again. merge with most recent showfile. it's the only way i could think of, but i was hoping, there was another way and i was missing something... ?

  • All you need to do is merge that singe preset from an old showfile:

    Browser-> File-> Merge-> (Your showfile)

    {Advanced}- {Presets} - {Start} #of your preset - {End} #of your preset - {Target} #of your preset (or an empty preset number, just in case). {OK}

    If that preset had nested palettes that got lost, you should merge those palettes as well.
