v 1.9.6 and Wybron CXI's

v 1.9.6

I appreciate the CXI filter on the color picker gel list, but am surprised to see that the DMX output levels do not match the Wybron tables exactly.  This source seems to be that with recent EOS versions DMX output calculations are truncated, instead of rounding off like other consoles (including older EOS versions) do.

The effect of this truncating can be maddening when enter dmx values directly, as in "CHAN 1 @ DMX 127 <ENTER>", and seeing the level change to dmx 126 instead.  Maybe not rounding off improves fading performance, but I don't see why the final state can't be caculated in the standard (rounded) way.

I found the color picker much more reliable for selecting colors with the CXI, so a great improvement.

I did find the limited selection of gels a bit frustrating.  I often use gel numbers as a starting place for color mixing -- it's just easier than having to describe the color I want and quite fast with the "/" syntax.  Wybron does publish a list of "can't match, but use as a starting point" values for a wide variety of colors: http://www.wybron.com:8080/gel/show.  Is it possible to incorporate this data into the gel picker in a future release?

    Thanks,
    Josh
