Hi Felix.  Oops.  Sorry, guess we missed this one.  At the moment, there are only 2 displays that have more than 2 formats, blind and the PSD.  So, we've not really yet entertained the idea of using the softkeys to select the desired format.    That's always an option should it seem needed.   Because format is a toggle (non-determinant) control, have you thought about using snapshots for this purpose?

no worries... i thought of a snapshot too, but if i'm correct, a monitor snapshot records the state of all monitors, doesn't it? and that's something i was trying to avoid and that's why i thought, thatthe best solution would be determinate format states...

i think that's still one of the things i miss most: a dedicated tracksheet button. still can't directly choose a format. i guess this would be easier to include into the software than single monitor snapshots?

The intent is to allow a greater granularity of storing components in Snapshots.   Having said that, I also see no reason why we shouldn't support macro commands that take the displays to a known state.    Both Snapshots and Macros are on the list for a UI redesign.

good to hear. so when you're speaking of a macro redesign, can i say this? when learning a macro, the desk sometimes oversimplifies things: when i learn Tab+3, the console records a macro that brings me to the display that used to be in tab 3 when recording, e.g. patch. but maybe i really wanted a macro for tab 3 and not for whatever was on tab 3...

i know, it's a balancing act...
