select all cues from a fixture with a special color

Hi, in Patch, where x is the VL1000 and y is the new channel, you can say [x] [Copy To] [y] [Entire Show].

i now. in patch i can copy the complett device. sorry... VL1000 is a wrong example.

I have a ACP (Flooter) witch Scroller. But at the ather theater we don´t have the scroller.

So i must take 5 another lights with 5 different color and 5 "dummy" channels for the 5 diffenert color from my scroller.

For example, my ACP is in cue 3 in scrollerframe1, then the dummy-channel for the color 1 must go on.

I will select all cues from the ACP with scrollerframe 1, and copy the intensity to the dummychannel.

I believe you can use Query to acomplish something like this.  I'm not in a place where I can test this, but it should work... Assuming your dummy channels are 1 through 5, and your old channel (with the scroller) is channel 11:

Blind, format set to Speadsheet.

[Cue] [1] [Thru] [Enter] (select all cues)

[Query] [11] [Color] [1] [enter] (select all the instances where channel 11 is in color frame 1)

{Intensity} [Copy To] [1] (copy the intensity data to channel 1)

Then repeat these steps for Color Frame 2 copying to Channel 2.

but after QUERY you only can write CUE )-: !

and all ather way with QUERY >>> all cues are selected

on EOS i can try same ways in blind with query... but i´m on the road with ION... where in ION in BLIND is QUERY ???

i also try:

cue1 thru enter

[channel1]  [intensity] [recall from] [channelX] [color palette3] ... no way

u can use the letter Y on the external keyboard for Query. hope that helps

immer gerne. und sonst müsstest du mit scroll lock umschalten können, dass du mit der tastatur befehle eintippen (buchstabieren) kannst, statt pro taste einen ganzen befehl abzurufen

(engl: by toggling scroll lock you could type the commands instead of using hotkeys)

reason1: query doesn't take any channel or group commands (?)

reason2: i can't get query to work for more than one cue. Query Cue 1 thru 10 Is In Color Palette 4 Enter gives me an error (in german it's "Kreisliste leer" = list of channels empty)

hm, so what to do? i'm not a query-expert, so maybe someone else can help?

It looks like query is designed to only work with channels.  I think it would be fantastic if it worked for cues in spreadsheet view as well.  Any chance it's "one the list" :-)

Incidentally, Query became a softkey on the Ion somewhere around 1.5.  I believe it shows up when the command line is empty.

I just sat down in front of a console and tried what I had suggested earlier.  You're right, query won't work across cue ranges.

Short of manually typing in values, I can't think of an automated way to accomplish this... but it's an interesting puzzle and I'll keep thinking about it!
