What is the lastest version of eos console software and installing methods?

 

Dear Sir, Madam,

Our EOS console (Back Up) & the RPU (Master), currently running the 1.9.1 software and like to update the new version. Kindly describe, What is the latest version of eos console software and the installing methods in step by step?

I have the FTP site user ID and password to open the Beta. The ETC site I can see this link for software. Pixel Map Installer v1.0.0 for Eos, Ion, RPU, RVI and PC 

I am expecting your valuable reply to upgrade our system from 1.9.1 to the latest version.

    You can find the latest version of Eos Family software (v1.9.6) here - http://www.etcconnect.com/product.software.signin.aspx?docID=22686&ID=20271

    There are currently no new Beta versions available, so please don't download anything from the ftp site, it will be out of date.

    The release note for v 1.9.6 explains the installation procedure. You can get the release note here - http://www.etcconnect.com/docs/docs_downloads/relnotes/Eos_Family_v196_RelNote_RevA.pdf

    Page 4 explains the installation procedure.

     

    The Pixel Map installer you have found is an additional installer which should be run in the same way. This is to install Quicktime and the stock Media Content for use with the new Virtual Media Server feature introduced in 1.9.6.

    If you don't intend to ever use the Virtual Media Server you don't have to run this extra instalation, but it's no bad thing to keep your consoles fully up to date for the future. Make sure you install this on all consoles in the system if you do intend to use it.

    Dear Sir,

    Many thanks for your valuable information's. The ETC_EosFamily_PixelMapping_v1.0.0.9.0.10.exe is including the ETC_EosFamily_Console_v1.9.6.9.0.3.exe? If I install the ETC_EosFamily_PixelMapping_v1.0.0.9.0.10.exe available the virtual media server plus ETC_EosFamily_Console_v1.9.6.9.0.3.exe? Or I need to install individually? After installing the ETC_EosFamily_PixelMapping_v1.0.0.9.0.10.exe Can I save the presently working show file, without any changes?

    hi Ajaya

    pixelmapping is seperate from the software 1.9.6. you need to install both of them (pixelmapping.exe only if you want to use the virtual media server).

    showfiles that you have saved to harddisk will survive, but if you have made changes to the show without saving the show, those changes will be lost. the showfiles are compatible between the software versions.
