Multiple Undos

I am running an Eos as a backup for an Eos RPU, version 1.9.6.  I had gone into blind and selected all cues and @ entered a channel to remove the data from the show.  Just as I did this the designer said, "oh we didn't want to do that". I had also brought up a channel and so hit undo, selected the @ entered command and hit enter. "Multiple commands will be undone" Yes.  Little did I know that it would undo almost everything that I had done earlier, including editing cue 1 that I had done like 20 minutes before.  I have switched so that the Eos is the Primary and RPU is backup hoping that fixes is the issue, but please advise.

Thanks for the files Jay,  we have found the defect and have a fix.

If you use Undo followed by the up-arrow key, to select a range of commands, it may undo more commands than what is displayed. This is only the case when undoing a range of commands from a client or backup, and only if you have not entered another undoable command since the last time you used undo.

This will be fixed in the next release.

To avoid this in 1.9.6, if you ever use the up arrow to undo more than the most recent command. Set a channel level first, so that you have at least one undoable command since the previous undo.

In these cases, "undoable" commands are ones that change a level or anything in show data. "Non-undoable" commands are things like selecting a channel, or entering blind, that do not change anything.

  • Dan,

Does this bug show up if you use the mouse to select multiple commands to undo?  Or only the up arrow?

It just bit me so I'm trying to be safe.  Looking forward to the update.
