Scrollers Displaying Oddly in Channel Display

An ION that I'm currently working on is displaying frame data for scrollers a bit strangely.

Whenever I manually control any scroller on the board, the frame and color data are displayed properly. However, as soon as I sneak those channels out (we don't have any cues in the console yet), some groups of scrollers display their color data as F1-R000 like I would expect. However, some other groups of scrollers display as just + in the color field even though the scrollers have in fact moved to frame 1 just like all of the others.

Why do these scrollers display differently, and what exactly does a + sign mean when seen in a channel with only one color parameter?

  • Hi there,

The tombstone view will display values for one color parameter if it's the only in the category, otherwise it will display a + sign.

What type of scrollers are these, and are they all the same type?  Are we in tombstone view or live table?  What version of software are you running?  Have you established a home preset for these fixtures, or are they in their default home position?

  • These scrollers are just simple scrollers, they only have one parameter. I was in tombstone view when this oddity appeared. We're running version 1.9.6, and we hadn't established a home preset for the scrollers or anything else.

This is all a bit moot however, as today after the console booted, the scrollers all displayed Frame 1 in the color field of tombstone view. So, I guess this is solved, although I don't know why a reboot fixed it.
