how to use the manual crossfade all the time

Pilou, the Manual Master settings for Eos and Ion are cue list specific.    You can change by setting through the "fader" options in the cue list settings, from proportional, to I-Master to Manual Master.  Manual Master is a setup option in Element, as Element doesn't support the cue list index controls.
