Ion Palettes

Hi All

Jo from Australia with what I hope is a simple question.

how do I release a palette on an Ion?  I was programming colorforce LED bar 48's and could not release them from my intensity palettes.  I could change intensity palettes but even when I told them to go to full they retained the intensity palette.  I had various intensity palettes each with only a few cells selected.

Appreciate any help as I have my first show on the Ion coming in for Plotting on Tuesday.

Cheers JP

  • Hi Joanna

From what you say there may be more to this than first presents itself. You should as you say be able to break the reference to an Intensity Palette by giving the channels a manual value. i.e [Channels][@][Full][Enter]

I havent used the fixtures you mention but I believe ETC has a fixture personality ready made in the console for this unit. Are you using this Personality or have you made a custom fixture?

Have you tried using Make Absolute to remove the Palette reference from the selected channels? or Sneak to return the channels to background levels, if you have manually sent the channels to a reference palette Sneak will return the Attributes to their background values i.e the last cue played back or a sub-master with a higher priority.

If all this isn't responding in the way you expect I suggest either using the standard ETC personality if you are not already and/or contacting ETC technical support.

    Hope that helps.
