Ion Palettes

Hi All

Jo from Australia with what I hope is a simple question.

how do I release a palette on an Ion?  I was programming colorforce LED bar 48's and could not release them from my intensity palettes.  I could change intensity palettes but even when I told them to go to full they retained the intensity palette.  I had various intensity palettes each with only a few cells selected.

Appreciate any help as I have my first show on the Ion coming in for Plotting on Tuesday.

Cheers JP

After you set the channels to a new level are you updating your cues?  If you are updating after changing the value of something that is already referenced data (ie an intensity palette) and using update all this will update your channels in the intensity palette to now be the changed value.  This is a good thing if you want to bring that level up or down in all of the cues that that palette is used.  Not so good if just want to change the value in a single cue.

You can avoid this either by selecting those channels and using the make abs softkey to make them a hard value instead of referencing your palette and then update the cue.  Or by selecting the make absolute button in the update screen when you update the cue.

    Hope this helps.
