copying a cue list?

Hey Everyone,

Is there a way to copy an entire cue list to another cue list?

I am using the ion for a television studio. We are going to shoot a special episode and I want to make a new cue list so that we can retain the original list. I know that I can copy each individual cue, but that seems like it is a bit laborious. So I thought wouldn't it be great if I can just copy the cue list and work out of the new list and not affect the original.

Any Ideas?

  • I figured that is was that simple. I looked through the manual but it is sometimes faster and easier to ask the experts. Thank you!

  • No worries. I trip over the syntax and semantics all the time. There are all these little task-based things I want to do that aren't quite organized the way I think, or not quite as consistently implemented as I think they ought to be. When I first got our Ion I found myself hunting through all sorts of documentation for Eos, Obsession, and competitor products in order to figure out the unfamiliar jargon. I'm still struggling to become efficient.

As for technical documentation, I find it is a lot like playing Jeopardy!.  The documentation gives you an answer but you have no idea what the question is. It is a Really Hard Problem to cross-reference and index all that data in a way that is meaningful for everybody.
