Intensity chase

OK....this one I think I could have solved on an expression, by writing a chase in Blind on a sub.

All I want is a chase between 3 colors on a cyc.

I have worked my way thru the effects builder by making an intensity chase.

Here's my problem.

Channels have been added 140 thru 143, + 150 thru 153 + 160 thru 163. I was hoping this would cycle thru solid red, blue, green. (I didn't patch this show)

The chase wipes across the cyc as opposed to a 3 color change.  I want the time between colors to be around 5-8 sec.

Any ideas?

  • Try swapping the "grouping" of the effect from 'spread' to '1' - that may give you at least part of the effect you're looking for, as rather than running through the fixtures selected, they should all change simultaneously.

(Look in the effect editor's bottom right corner, if you haven't found it yet).

Edit: I'd assumed it was an LED Cyc wash - on re-reading, I see it apparently isn't. Change the grouping to '3' (or as many colours as you're using) - and maybe pick the colours in order, for each unit?
