Pixel Map Edit prevents Go/Stop/Back

Hi,

Loving the Pixel Mapper, working like a dream, except i need 810 pixels in the width. Is there a plan to expand the pixel count soon?

The main reason for posting is that in v1.9.6.9.0.3 if i’m working in Pixel map and i hit edit, I lose the Go and the Stop/Back button.

Also, I imported a .txt file created on a mac and got some spurious results... did the same from a pc and it worked fine... I;m pretty sure that i was probably my fault though here.

Thanks again

  • Sorry for not starting a new topic, but when patching the pixel map it would be great if the next button could choose the next available free address like it does in normal patch.

for example, if i just patched a group of pixels and gave them the start address 1/1 and it used up to 1/76, then i went on to select a second group of pixels, it would be lovely to be able to hit the start address button and type 1/[next] for it to continue on from where it finished off previously.

    Thanks

  • Hey Chris.  Thanks for the feedback.  Both of these things are high priority for the next feature release.

  • Hey Crispy,

Glad you are getting a chance to play with this :-)  I'll take a look at the .txt problem on Mac.  As for the pixel map size limits.  We currently limit the size of the grid to 16k (16,384) cells.  So, to achieve a width of 810, you would have to make your height 20.

Other common dimensions within the 16k limit:
    128 x 128
    256 x 64
    512 x 32
    1024 x 16
    2048 x 8

The question is... Will that work for your current application?  Or, do you require 810 cells of width and a more than 20 cells of height?  We are trying to get an idea about how this feature is being used.

    Thanks!
