As of the last time I inquired with tech support:  Part of the problem is with Windows XP itself and not ETC.  The newer touchscreens do not have drivers made for windows XP, only vista or 7, and will not work on any EOS family console because they run XP embedded as the core OS.  The ELO 1928L 19" Monitor (Manufacturer Part# E874209) is supported.  I have used these on many jobs and never had any trouble.

"Windows XP Pro operating system licensing will be valid through 2016 on Elo TouchSystems products. As well as offering additional new OS options, support of Windows XP will continue up to 2016."

though there are some products that do not have drivers for windows xp most of there line will have suport for several years....

update-

after talking to the folks at ELO and chatting with the folks at ETC I was instructed that I would be on my own without suport and If I really wanted to, I could do "this" to instail the driver package in the above post. The drivers work and i have found no hickups yet. we will be testing this under our normal load of shows for instability issues and all will be reported to the community-
