Patching feature request

I would like to see copy to and recall from be able to be used in patch.

For instance, If I need to move a fixture from Channel 1 to channel 100, the syntax would be

ch 1 copy to ch 100

That way it would take the patch and any other information associated with that fixture on that channel with it.

Or is there another way to do this that I am missing

  • I do believe that is going to be part of the 1.3 release.  There will be Copy To which doesn't take the associated information, just the fixture type, but there will be a Move To which will take all of the associated information.  And yes, it does work as it should.

Right now there is not a way to do that.  Depending on the volume of information you need to move around, you may want to contact ETC directly and ask this question...there may be a way...

  • Hey guys..... 1.2 does support Copy To.  It will take all of the information about a channel (except for the output address) and copy it to a specified channel location.

And Stu is right.... Move To is added in 1.3.  It will be accessible by double hitting the Copy To button.  Move To also moves all of the show data associated with a channel - and, if there is already information for a channel in the Move destination, the new information gets added as a new part.  Make sense?

Hey Stu!!  How are things going on the tour?  It's been very quiet; which we took as a good sign! :)
