  • G G,

Number two will be shot down by security fanatics.

Number three is probably impractical... but so way cool!

Number one-  I am totally with you, and invite all to voice opinions.  If I enter a channel and press Full, the need to then press enter is really the equivalent of a dialog box that asks, "Are you sure?"  I am sure there is justification, but I wonder why the Out key is self-executing.

I also think it would be nice to have one of the unassigned keys to be a Macro button.

  • a tiny, little, outlined wish

Most of my eos-screens are dedicated to programming. That’s nice. And it is the cue we are programming that is marked. Not the next. Here in Norway we rarely use a cuemaster (I am my own, and sometimes rather confused and busy).

So could you please make me a dedicated, tiny, little, outlined window fx. down, right in the playback screen that tells me to all times just what will be triggered when I press GO next time? Just [cuenumber] [time in/time out] [label]

Something like fx.: cue 217  3.3/7.2   Anne slaps Tryggve in face twice

For all other info; I’ll search elsewhere on my screens.

OK, this is the hands-down winner for "most unexpected, laugh out loud" comment.   Only twice?  Anyway, what you are suggesting is actually a great idea.  So, the beatings will have to be postponed. :-)   Will go on the list.

    Thanks much!

  • - you know; when you are running a well known show without a cuemaster, it is important to have cues that are difficult to ignore...  ;-)

  • Hey,

I have not had a good play on the console, except offline and at a few trade shows... this may or may not be all ready in the console.  This is something that i found very useful during my time on the virtuoso in a theatre environment, and have not seen it on many other consoles.   It was great when a mover was not working correctly or a set piece did not come on stage etc. We also used it during the show to load inhibs that may be needed as the show went on.  A macro cleared these at appropriate places as well

It involves inhibits on the console, and the ability to create an inhibit on the fly using the selected channels.

On the Virtuoso, i would select the channels, then run a macro which would load these channels as a channel select and then turn a sub (i used sub #5, as it wasnt used during the show) into an inhibit.  I then turned the sub on, and faded down what the light(s).

I also had a macro that removed the inhib.

On the eos, i can imagine that the macro could include the motorised sub going to full straight away should it be at the bottom.  The only thing is we used to not include the select key, so as to act as a on/off switch for the sub... there may be a way to use the play key associated with that sub as a on off key???

I think that makes sense... :-)  Love some feedback on this idea?
