Locking PSD Columns between Live and Blind - ION

Hi Everyone,

Have been having some issues with my cue list displays staying the way I want them when I go between live and blind mode.  I am using a multi-console network, with a couple different RVIs and Client Consoles.  I know that if I set up a client with a different user number, that client will keep it's display - but one of the RVIs is used by the designer while I program from the primary console, so we would like it to show them blind mode/live mode, etc. as I control things.  Whenever I go back and forth between live and blind, the cue list display always resets column widths to default, cutting off the labels and external links columns.  I readjust the widths, hiding unused attribute/flag columns, to show the desired ones - but when I change screens and return, it is back to default.  Is there a way to lock these column widths?

Thanks everyone,

Jeff

  • Hello Jeff,

To answer your question, the column widths on the PSD and Cue List display should stay as set until you change them.

I am not seeing the behavior that you are describing - I have tested this using 1.9.6.9.0.3 and 1.9.8

I have a few questions for you that may help me track this down:

-What version of software are you using?

-On which device(s) are you seeing the columns resize, is it your Ion, the designer's RVI, or both?

-Is the problem on the Playback Status Display (PSD) or on the Cue List display or both?

-Do you have 2 Playback Status Displays open?

*The three ways (that I know of) to reset the column widths:

(PC keyboard) [Ctrl] + double click using either mouse button - on the display you want the columns reset.

[Select] + [Escape] - with the appropriate display selected.

    Or, by using a Snapshot.

  • Hi Chris,

Thanks for your response.  I am using 1.9.6.9.0.3.

The columns resize in the designer's RVI, as well as on the Ion.

Pardon my not being clear - I was referring to the cue in the bottom of the Live/Blind Channel Display (or multiple cues if you are using one screen in split mode), not the cue list display tab or the PSD.  The cue list display and PSD indeed do holds the column settings.
