Using midi to run Isadora with the Ion

Hi Ronan,

I could be completely wrong about this, but it is my understanding that the Ion only outputs Midi Show Control, not Midi Notes. 

The last time I used Isadora, I had a DMX to Midi box in the middle receiving DMX triggers and outputting Midi Notes for Isadora to read. I do not believe that there is a Midi Show Control Actor in Isadora for it to listen to MSC.

This was several software versions ago on both Isadora and Ion, so I could be wrong.

the main problem i am having right now is that the Ion wont actualy even send a signal to the computer.

but for the midi activation I have some custom actors built, I just havent tested them out yet.

Try setting the ACN MIDI TX ID to 2, and let us know if that helps...
