EOS Family off-line

I downloaded the EOS family off-line editor yesterday. I will be using the ION console. On my desktop is now Icons for "Launch Element" and "Launch EOS family". (When I tried to delete the "Launch Element" shortcut I received an "action denied" window. ) I opened ION yesterday with no problem. Today when I opened the "EOS family", the Element Offline button is highlighted. I pushed the ION off-line button. The Element Screen came up and after about 4 minutes, Element opened. I closed Element and tried it again- same results. What is going on?????

I am running Windows XP (fully updated) and have 140 gig of free space.

Not sure what happened but I logged on to my PC under a different account and it worked fine. It also now works fine under my normal log in- oh well

Was the account that you were logged in that was not working a non-administrators account?

In fact yes it was. The other account that was able to make ION work in both accounts was the admin account. Could that have been the problem?

That very well could be the issue. EOS offline often has issues running on a non-administrators account.

I once had in issue with a Mac client that was being run from a different user account than that with which it was installed. I think both were admin accounts, but some of the necessary settings are created at installation (or first run) time under a specific user.

an update- the IT staff made my normal user account a "power User" and the off-line editor now opens cleanly and quickly.
