Moving an active cue

It is helpful to remember that once a cue is in a playback, it is divorced from memory, for all intents.  So, if you move a cue, you need to refresh the playback to see the accurate stored data.  Hope that helps.

As in "re-load" the cue to the playback ?

Quickest way is to re-assert the cue. ie hold Assert & hit the Load button of desired playback.

For Ion this will be under Fader Controls. For Eos it will be the dedicated Assert Fader Control located to the right of the Master Playback Pair.

This will re-play the cue with any changes made in blind or via Refs only updates etc.

ok, so asserting the cue really is the quickest way. However, I am still not convinced why the playback order behaves differently when I move the cue forwards vs. backwards ;)   (I'd still prefer an Eos right now over what I have to deal with currently lol)

When you move a cue, the previous cue number no longer exists, so the previous cue becomes the new active cue, to keep the playback location within the cue list.

The order of where you move it, only matters because it affects which cue is before the cue that no longer exists.
