syntax for Macro from Xkeys?

What is the syntax that i should store in my x-keys to trigger a macro?

I used the pi hardware utility and entered 'macro 1 {enter}' into button 1. However because i am testing on a mac laptop and not an actual console the EOS software thinks I'm sending shortcuts ['m' mark, @ 'a',].

Whats the right syntax to get it to work with an actual console?

EOS (console and off-line) see the x-keys as just another keyboard. So program the X-Keys as if you were using a Keyboard. IE: if you want macro 1 to run, it would be: {SHIFT} {F8} 1 {ENTER} or {CONTROL} 4 1 {ENTER}

Use this PDF to help with finding out what shortcuts do what.

When you look at the PDF you should be able to understand why the software was seeing M for Mark, A for @, C for Undo, R for Record, and O for Out.

My X-Keys stick is setup for Macro 101 thru 115 and the 16th button set as the Layer function and the "Red" Layer on the X-Keys is setup for Macro 201 thru 215.
