Screen animations

Is there a way to turn off the screen animations?

 

When programming quickly there's not enough time for the animations to complete, and sometimes you miss what the screen was trying to tell you.  I know this sounds funny, but when I hit a button I want immediate gratification...  I already have to wait for a programmer to catch up to what I'm saying, I don't want to wait for the console to catch up to what he's typing.

This also might be related to my aforementioned screen refresh problem, which I know is being addressed.  THANK YOU!  Can't wait.

    Hi David,

    For the most part, the screen animations should happen very quickly.  I would assume that the problems you are seeing are due to other refresh problems, and creating this setting would not actually solve the problem. (The displays would just flash up and disappear faster than you could read them.)

    With that being said, it may not be a bad idea to have a setting available to allow a user to turn off the animations on a lower power client such as a laptop.  We will investigate the possibility of doing this.
